About

" Aelin Laer",  formed 2007, represents Celtic Art & Crafts

of painter and silversmith Mia Šerić.

I`m a traditional painter and silversmith from Croatia.

In my work I paint in techniques of acrylic and oil on canvas and paper

and I create Celtic silver Talismans in old-fashioned way,

combining crystals and gemstones in creating charged and programmed

Consecrated Silver Ritual objects.

I graduated from the School of Fine Arts, Department of Painting in 2009.

In 2011. I finished traditional silversmithing course in Atelier Lumezi,

taught by famous artist and silversmith Lazer Lumezi ,

where I worked for several years, mastering my craft.

As essential part for creating my artwork, I passionately study Celtic mythology and folklore, specifically Sidhe lore and Creideamh Sí, practice the old ways and closely work with the Daoine Sith and the Otherworld - this is what drives my inspirational fire, and is center of my devotion, my being and my art.

I am also a member of 3 Druid orders, but I walk this path alone, just as I channel and create my artwork alone. My bond to the Otherworld is intimate and deeply personal, and Themselves demand it so after all.
Celtic  Folklore, Tradition, Mythology and Magical practice form major cornerstones for my Artwork.  For more than 20 Years I am passionately immersed in scholarly exploration of these topics, studying, practicing and learning,  gathering both knowledge and inspiration from books, manuscripts and ancient texts, exploring ancient landscapes and channeling Other Realm.

My approach (and viewpoint) to both my path and ritual practice, and inspiration behind creation of my artwork is folkloric, no matter if I am using a model for my painting or if it is a result of channeling Otherworld - the process invokes something that is hard to put into words, so I do my best to place it on canvas, paper or into silver.

I spend most of my free time in forests, by wells, streams and rivers,

where I channel and gather inspiration.
